Some Information About Tru-Fit Steel Rule Dies
|Tru-Fit Steel Rule Dies of WI, Inc. has been owned and operated by
Michael Piefer since 1985. It currently employees 20 people in an 11,500
sq. ft. building.
Tru-Fit was founded by Peter & Laura Piefer in 1960 as a home based business. Peter's early years of working in a carton company gave him his experience as a die maker and die press operator to branch out to start a business of his own. During that time, Tru-Fit manufactured cutting dies for displays, folding cartons, corrugated containers, vacuum formed plastic, gaskets, decals and related items for skin packaging and blister packaging. After 25 years of ownership and 3 different locations, Peter sold the business to his son, Mike. In 1988 the operation was moved to the present facility in Germantown.
All of our flat and rotary cutting dies are laser-burned, manufactured with automated rule processors, and constructed by our experienced die-makers who all have the background to complete the die from start to finish.
